The Visual Communications Intern at Skylark Camps will play a crucial role in how Skylark communicates with key stakeholders. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of visual communication. This position supports the Director of Communications and requires a strong combination of creative vision and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of visual content for digital and print media, including websites, social media, brochures, posters, and other marketing materials.
- Participate in the production process of printed materials, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Support the continual process of improving the UI/UX on Skylark’s frontward-facing platforms by creating wireframes,
- Collaborate with the marketing and design team to conceptualize and execute compelling visual campaigns.
- Conduct research on design trends and best practices to inform and improve design outputs.
- Manage and organize digital assets, including photos, logos, and artwork.
- Provide administrative support to the design team as needed, including preparing presentations and assisting with project management tasks.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for projects and initiatives.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Communications.
- Engage in weekly meetings with the Director of Communications to report progress.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
- Ability to work in-person at our Plano office during core hours (9am - 3pm, Monday through Friday).
- Flexibility to travel multiple times per week to each camp location.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma) preferred.
