Lead Media Intern

The Lead Media Intern at Skylark Camp is a dynamic and pivotal role, primarily focused on overseeing the daily management, editing, and organization of photographic and video content. This position also helps provide leadership to each site’s media team. This position acts as a key support to the Director of Communications and requires a blend of technical skill and creative flair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the quality and excellence of media captured at each campsite.
  • Aid in leading each camp site’s media team.
  • Efficiently sort, tag, and prepare media for the approval process.
  • Edit and apply necessary filters to all approved media.
  • Organize media in adherence to established file structure protocols.
  • Ensure that the media team captures the required shot list.
  • Conduct weekly consultations with each site's media team to provide feedback and set objectives.
  • Follow detailed documentation and checklists for resizing and uploading content.
  • Archive all content systematically as per training guidelines.
  • Provide on-site retraining for site-specific media teams as required.
  • Ensure consistent daily uploads for each site’s photo gallery.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Director of Communications.
  • Weekly meetings with the Director of Communications for progress updates.
  • Verify that each site’s media team fulfills their shot lists and weekly photo/video quotas.
  • Manage and update the parent photo galleries for each site.
  • Edit media or supervise the editing process by site media staff.
  • Step in for site photographers as needed due to absence or illness.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in photography and/or photo editing.
  • Highly organized.
  • Proficiency with DSLR cameras.
  • Skilled in Adobe software, including Lightroom,Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

  • Ability to work in-person at our Plano office during core hours (9am - 3pm, Monday through Friday).
  • Flexibility to travel multiple times per week to each camp location.
